Endodontics (root canal).

Endodontics comes from the greek “endo” meaning inside and “odont” meaning tooth. It is also more commonly known as root canal therapy.

When decay progresses beyond the outer, harder surfaces of our teeth it can begin to effect the dental pulp. The dental pulp is a mostly fluid complex in the centre of our teeth. The major components of the dental pulp are nerves and blood vessels.

Often when the decay has progressed into the pulpal complex, endodontic therapy may be indicated to prolong the life of the tooth. Our team is experienced in endodontic therapy and has excellent success rates using the most modern clinical practices. We will guide you through the process and answer any questions you may have throughout.
